Foreign Languages and Literatures Minors

Spanish & French

In the U.S. nowadays, having a minor in Spanish (SPAN) or French (FR) in your transcript will be an asset to whatever future profession you may follow. Jobs in the public and private sectors will see your linguistic and intercultural aptitudes as advantages in the job market. This means more employment opportunities and better salaries.

Both minors require 16 semester hours. View the specific requirements and course descriptions in the Undergraduate Catalog.

Please note: SPAN/FR 122, SPAN/FR 223 and SPAN/FR 224 are language classes, and if you already have a solid Spanish or French you can by-pass those by taking the placement test and finish your minor with fewer credits.
