Preparing Tomorrow's Business Professionals

The Department of Management and Marketing - provides our valued students an educational experience that gives them excellent preparation to choose and be successful in a multitude of careers in the world of business. Our degree programs give our students real world experience and skills to work with customers, employees, suppliers, and government agencies.  Through the various management and marketing courses and working with our faculty, students improve their skills in communication, leadership, innovation, and decision making. An understanding of how these skills can be aided by technology - and applied to the benefit of employers in a global business environment - provides our students with technology skills employers find highly desirable.

Our Management major allows students tremendous flexibility in developing an excellent, comprehensive skill-set with many opportunities for specialization in their chosen area of study. Our major is designed for students who want a broad background for positions in business, service industries, manufacturing or government.  In addition to general education requirements and the business core courses, management majors complete 21 hours of department core courses along with 12 hours of directed electives and 8-11 hours of open electives.
