Dr. Sartini is an assistant professor of Special Education. She obtained a doctorate in Special Education from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Science degree in Special education from the University of Oregon.

Prior to coming to Western Illinois University, she worked as a special education teacher in the public schools for 16 years. In addition, Dr. Sartini is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D). 

Dr. Sartini’s research focuses on the use of systematic instruction to increase independence, communication skills, and academic skills of students with ASD.
