Department of Educational Studies

The Department of Educational Studies has been—and continues to be—an essential player in accomplishing the College of Education and Human Services stated mission to “educate and empower future practitioners and leaders.”  More specifically, the faculty and staff of the Educational Studies Department have worked diligently over the years to build new programs of study and revise existing ones with the goal of developing administrative, curricular, and pedagogical leaders for a variety of educational contexts. These contexts include K-12 schools, higher education, and a growing array of nontraditional educational settings. Whether you are looking to further your education through a highly regarded graduate or undergraduate degree program or enhance your professional life by attaining an advanced certificate or endorsement, the Department of Educational Studies at Western Illinois University is here to help you meet those goals. For more information about our degree and certificate/endorsement programs, follow the links to your left...or give us a call: (309) 298-1183.
