Meet the Professor »

In addition to introducing CSP students to quantitative and qualitative research methods used in the field of education and human services, I teach undergraduate courses in the areas of human growth and development, assessment and learning for students in the teacher education program. I also serve as the coordinator of the department’s graduate program and serve on many university and college committees. I've earned both my master’s (1988) and bachelors (1986) from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and later received my doctorate from SIUC in 1995.

My experiences in student affairs and college administration, including housing and campus recreation position and NCAA athletic faculty administrator, helps provide context for the students in the Research Methods course.
