Kappa Pi - International Art Honor Society

Kappa Pi is an International Art Honor Society that makes up a community of artists who have attained a high level of artistic and academic achievement. It is open to any student who has talent for or supports the visual arts.

The WIU Chapter of Kappa Pi focuses on volunteer opportunities and building relationships. Activities include food drives, painting community murals, selling homemade Valentine’s Day cards, creating art activities for Mental Health Awareness Day, Toys for Tots, museum and studio visits, guest speakers, and much more.

Kappa Pi also offers scholarship opportunities for graduating and incoming members.

"I joined Kappa Pi as a “Honorary Member” my freshman year becoming a full member when I met the requirements. I love surrounding myself with a group of creative people where I feel like I belong. Kappa Pi is a great opportunity for personal and professional development. I am grateful that I joined when I did. I loved Kappa Pi so much, I am now the Chapter President for a second year in a row." - Sarah Warner, BFA Art Teacher Education and WIU Kappa Pi President.
