      The International Friendship Club represents a body of approximately 400 International Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni from 49 different countries and cultural backgrounds. The Club is open to any Western Illinois University Student, Faculty or Staff. No membership fee is required; everyone is encouraged to become actively involved in more than a dozen committees. The objective of the club is to promote cultural awareness, respect and understanding among all students through various cultural, educational and social activities. Western Illinois University Students, Faculty, Staff and Community members benefit from the cultural exchanges and educational experiences.


    
     The IFC is a part of casa Latina , Casa Latina is a home away from home for all the Latino students as well as the International students. The Casa Latina is open during all week days from 8:00am to 5:30pm. There are many events organized for the international students to entertain themselves and get a relief from their busy schedules. Some of the events that are organized by the IFC are the Movie Night, Bowling Night, and The International Bazaar. Apart from the outside activities, the Casa Latina houses a Television room, Pool table, and Study room, Dining Room, Conference Rooms and the Computer Lab. The Organization also constitutes other clubs such as the L.A.S.O for the Latino students and the Tradicion hispana Dance troupe.
