Nathan Miczo is a Professor in the Department of Communication at Western Illinois University. He received his B.A. in Broadcasting from Arizona State University, and both his M.A. and Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Arizona. His primary area of teaching and research is interpersonal communication. He also teaches courses in health communication, research methods, and message production. A prolific writer and researcher, he has published articles in the Journal of Family Communication, Communication Studies, Health Communication, Human Studies, the Journal of Communication Studies, the Journal of Intercultural Communication Research, Communication Reports, and Qualitative Health Research, as well as several book chapters. His work crosses multiple disciplines and has garnered him awards in the areas of interpersonal communication, communication theory, health communication, and language and social interaction.
