Beu Health Center Recognizes Staff and Commemorates Professional Recognition Weeks in October

MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois University Beu Health Center employs groups of dedicated individuals who excel in their individual areas of their healthcare professions. During the month of October a few of these groups are being recognized, with additional groups to be recognized in the months to come. Professions being recognized in October are physician assistants, medical assistants, health educators and pharmacy staff.

Last week, (October 6-12) was National Physician Assistant Week. Beu Health Center currently employs one extra help physician's assistant.

This week (October 15-19), two professions are being recognized: medical assistants and health educators. Beu employs five medical assistants in various capacities within the organization and one health educator.

During the last full week of October, the pharmacy department is recognized. Beu's pharmacy staff consists of two pharmacists and one pharmacy technician.

Staff at Beu Health Center congratulates all the healthcare professionals who are celebrating their professions this month and extends a "thank you" for all their contributions to the success of the University's Beu Health Center.
