Goetz Awarded Graduate Assistantship

MACOMB, IL - - Joseph Goetz, of Carthage, IL, has been awarded a graduate assistantship in the Western Illinois University Department of Accounting and Finance for the 2014-15 academic year.

Goetz, who graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree in accountancy in May and is working toward a master's degree in accountancy, will serve as a teaching support assistant in the accounting program.

During his senior year at Western, Goetz was recognized by the department faculty as the Outstanding Senior for 2014-15, an award based on academic record and commitment to community service. He graduated with a 4.0 and was a member of the WIU Honors Program, and he volunteered for community service in Carthage, as well as at WIU.
