Students enrolled the Western Illinois University Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Administration (RPTA) faculty-led study abroad course, "Recreation, Sport & Leisure of Spain: A Comparative Study with the U.S.U." were immersed in the richness of the Spanish culture and experienced a wide range of recreation, sports and leisure activities available there in June 2016.

Study Abroad Fair Sept. 14

MACOMB, IL — The Western Illinois University Office of Study Abroad will hold its annual Study Abroad Fair from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

According to Study Abroad Advisor Ehren Kuzekov, during the fair, students will be able find out more about study abroad opportunities, internships abroad, volunteering abroad, scholarships and funding opportunities, as well as how to plan their study abroad experiences. The fair will feature a variety of study abroad providers, including representatives from International Studies Abroad (ISA), AIFS Study Abroad Programs, Semester at Sea, The School of Field Studies (SFS), the Institute for Study Abroad at Butler University and Edge Hill University Direct Program.

"Most of our study abroad providers and all of our faculty leaders who will be leading programs this spring and summer will be at the fair," Kuzekov explained.

"Students will also have an opportunity to enter a raffle to win prizes from study abroad providers and local businesses. We will have students present who have participated in programs last year to answer questions for students, as well," Kuzekov added.
