Knoblauch Cafe Releases Spring Semester Menu

MACOMB, IL – The Knoblauch Café will open for the Spring 2018 semester Tuesday, Feb. 20 and will serve meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in the Knoblauch Hall Corporate Dining Room 239.
Each meal is $7, which includes beverage and dessert. Carry-outs are available.
The meals are organized and run by students in the WIU Department of Dietetics, Fashion Merchandising and Hospitality (DFMH). The Knoblauch Café provides students with hands-on experience running a foodservice facility.
This semester's menu includes:
Tuesday, Feb. 20
Bow tie pasta with tomato cream sauce, Olive Garden salad, bruschetta and chocolate layer torte
Thursday, Feb. 22
Hawaiian ham and cheese sliders/Hawaiian roll caprese sliders, loaded baked potato soup and Ghirardelli salted caramel brownie sundae
Tuesday, Feb. 27
Turkey panini/veggie panini, broccoli cheese soup and chocolate mousse
Thursday, March 1
Chicken quesadilla/veggie quesadilla, southwest corn salad with tortilla chips and raspberry cheesecake cupcake
Tuesday, March 6
Lasagna/vegetarian lasagna, Caesar salad, cheese biscuit and confetti cupcake
Thursday, March 8
Turkey club sandwich/veggie club sandwich, Oriental salad and cherry turnover
Tuesday, March 20
Chicken Fajitas/Portobello fajitas, Mexican rice, churro cupcake
Thursday, March 22
Toasted Italian sub/toasted veggie sub, pasta salad and mixed berry cobbler
Tuesday, March 27
Chicken parmesan/veggie parmesan, wedge salad, breadstick and angel food cake

Oven fried chicken/stuffed pepper, garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and apple crisp

BBQ chicken flatbread pizza/ margherita flatbread pizza, strawberry salad and fruit pizza
Tuesday, April 17
Chicken piccata/vegetable piccata, linguine noodles, garlic Texas toast, mixed greens with poppy seed dressing and gooey butter cake
Thursday, April 19
Herbed pork tenderloin/vegetable stuffed Portobello mushroom, twice-baked potato, vegetable medley and strawberry shortcake
