One Candidate to Interview Friday for WIU Institutional Research and Planning Director

MACOMB, IL – One candidate will interview Friday, Oct. 6 for the director of Western Illinois University Institutional Research and Planning office.

The candidate is David Ma, the current director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness at the University of Dallas in Irving, TX. He has a diverse professional background, having previously worked as a senior credit risk analyst at Merrick Bank in South Jordan, UT from 2019-2021, manager of Longitudinal Studies and Outcome Measures, institutional research officer III at Utah System of Higher Education in Salt Lake City, UT, senior research analyst at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT, and an analyst of Institutional Research at Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. Ma has professional certification in statistical/analytics, data visualization, survey software, and database management systems.

Ma received two master's degrees in Public Policy and Administration and Management Information Systems from Mississippi State University, in Starkville, MS and his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, UT.
