New Digital Sign Installed Ahead of Fall Semester

MACOMB, IL - - Visitors to the Western Illinois University campus have a new sight to greet them on University Drive.

A new digital sign was installed in front of Western Hall on August 8, replacing the previous sign installed in 2007.

"We are excited to share this with the campus community," Alisha Looney, director of Marketing and Communications, said. "This is another opportunity for us to show our Leatherneck Pride and highlight the good we have happening at WIU."

This new sign will feature increased resolution and the ability to play full-motion graphics.

"Leatherneck Athletics is proud to have the message center in front of Western Hall once again welcoming guests to the University as well as announcing and promoting our campus and community events," WIU Director of Athletics Paul Bubb said. "I appreciate the opportunity our University Communications and Marketing staff was able to bring to the campus with this new and versatile message center."
