Adams St. and Western Ave. Intersection Temporarily Closed

MACOMB, IL - - North-South traffic at the intersection of Adams St. and Western Ave. will be closed starting Wednesday, Sept. 24 to allow for drainage work to continue on the WIU band field. East-West traffic will not be closed.

The drainage work is expected to continue until early October.

While work is ongoing, the GoWest bus system will have updated routes to account for the construction.

Route 15 and 16-southbound - These will turn right onto Riverview Dr., left on to Wigwam Hollow Rd., left on Adams St. until it arrives back on the normal route.

Route 17-westbound - After the Olson cutout, will continue straight on Adams St., turn right onto Wigwam Hollow Rd, right onto Riverview Dr. and left onto Western Ave. to continue on its normal route

Blue route - After Robin Rd., will turn left onto Wigwam Hollow Rd., turn right on Riverview Dr. and left onto Western Ave. to resume its normal route.

Purple, Purple evening, Orange 4, Amtrak - After the Olson cutout, the westbound buses will continue on Adams St. until it turns right on Wigwam Hollow Rd., right onto Riverview Dr., left onto Western Ave. and resume its normal route.

The Leatherneck Express southbound bus will turn right onto Riverview Dr., left onto Wigwam Hollow Rd., left onto Adams St., right onto Sherman Ave. and resume its normal route.
