MACOMB, IL - - Casey LaFrance, professor and program manager in the Department of Political Science at Western Illinois University, has been selected as a speaker for the Agile Forum hosted by the Project Management Institute (PMI), a global professional association serving project management and governance professionals worldwide.

The Agile Forum will be held online on Saturday, March 14, and will feature speakers representing more than 15 PMI chapters from across the globe.

The free international event focuses on growth, agility and decision-making in complex organizational environments and is expected to draw a diverse global audience.

As part of his ongoing work at WIU, LaFrance examines how decision systems and value-focused governance approaches support effective leadership, risk management and organizational adaptability across public, private and nonprofit sectors.

His session will reflect this focus by exploring practical ways organizations can navigate uncertainty while maintaining accountability and stakeholder trust.

"I'm honored to participate in a forum that brings together practitioners and leaders from around the world," LaFrance said. "This invitation reflects the relevance of applied decision systems and the importance of connecting theory to real-world governance challenges."

The invitation recognizes LaFrance's professional and academic expertise in decision systems, value delivery, agile governance and systems thinking, as well as his contributions to teaching and applied research at WIU.

The PMI is one of the world's leading professional associations for project, program and portfolio management, supporting members in more than 200 countries through standards, education and professional development.
