In addition to concerts, the NMF features lectures, panel discussions, masterclasses, workshops and other interactions between students, faculty and invited composers that further connect our community to the world of contemporary music.

This year's featured artist is George Hufnagl, who holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music Composition from Western Illinois University and the University of Iowa, with additional studies in sound design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
