MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University University Union Board (UUB) is excited to announce Best Week Ever 2026, a week-long celebration packed with themed activities, campus spirit and high-energy entertainment.Taking place Monday March 30 - Thursday April 2, this year's Best Week Ever invites students to step into the Old West with a full lineup of country and frontier inspired events.

Designed to bring the WIU community together through creativity, fun, and shared experiences, Best Week Ever continues to be one of the most anticipated traditions on campus.

2026 Best Week Ever Events:
Rootin' Tootin' Hat Decorootin'
11 a.m.-1 p.m, Monday, March 30, in the Brattain Lounge

Kick off Best Week Ever by creating your own custom western hat! Students can stop by to decorate cowboy-style hats and gear up for the week's Old West festivities.

Western Bingo
7-9 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, in the Grand Ballroom

Saddle up for a frontier-themed bingo night packed with high spirits, big prizes and classic Western flair.

The Great Western Showdown
7-9 p.m., Wednesday April 1, in the University Union Grand Ballroom

A rodeo-themed night complete with a mechanical bull, line dancing and a bags tournament. Students can test their riding skills, enjoy Old West activities and compete for awesome prizes.

Rango Movie Night
7-9 p.m., Thursday April 2, in the University Union Grand Ballroom

Join UUB for an Old West movie night featuring Rango to close out the week.

All events are open free for WIU students. Additional event details and updates will be shared on UUB's social media and the University Union website.
