MOLINE, IL — Western Illinois University–Quad Cities (WIU-QC) will host a graduation celebration from 4–7 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, in the Riverfront Hall Atrium. Graduates are invited to attend for all or part of the evening as the university community gathers to recognize their achievements. The event will follow an open house format, allowing attendees to stop by at any time during the celebration.

"Completing a degree from WIU creates opportunities, and our graduates positively impact the communities they live in. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with our students, their families, and friends," WIU Executive Director of QC Campus Operations Audrey Adamson said.

Graduates are encouraged to RSVP using the student form. When completing the form, attendees should list their name under "Graduate" and their academic department under "Major."

Light appetizers, beverages and cookies will be served. Graduates are encouraged to bring their own caps, gowns and graduate hoods for photo opportunities. A limited number of diploma covers and select caps and gowns will be available on-site.

The event will provide an opportunity for graduates to celebrate together, connect with peers and faculty and capture photos to commemorate their accomplishments.
