WIU Multicultural Center Hosts Festival of Flavors and Culture

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University Multicultural Center (MCC) will host the Festival of Flavors and Cultures, a vibrant celebration that showcases the rich cultural diversity of the WIU student body and the greater Macomb area. The event will take place from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, April 18.

The event offers attendees an opportunity to explore various cultural foods and traditions from communities around the world. It will also feature student and community vendors showcasing handmade goods, cultural artifacts and informational resources that highlight heritage and identity.

During the event, attendees will enjoy live performances celebrating music, dance and artistic expression from various cultures, along with a live DJ. Whether guests came to taste new foods, support local vendors or connect with others, the event promised an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

The Multicultural Center is currently seeking cultural vendors, student organizations and performers who are interested in participating in this event. This is a valuable opportunity to share culture, talents and traditions with a broad audience to contribute to a meaningful community celebration.

The event, presented in partnership with Lexington Concord Apartments, brings together students, families and community members for an afternoon dedicated to cultural appreciation and connection.
