Just Hired! Through the experiences of local, regional, national and international students, Western Illinois University has incredible alumni who are making an impact in the workforce. This series features students from around the world who are hired post-graduation.
MOLINE, IL - -Meet Sarah Tapper, the newly appointed director of Programs and Exhibitions at the Freeport Art Museum. She was selected following a three-round virtual interview process and is a recent graduate of Western Illinois University's Museum Studies program.
She feels that during her time at WIU, her experiences in the Museum Studies program at WIU allowed her to get vital hands-on experience.
"I was able to build such an amazing support group of museum professionals that helped her grow in my career. I now have my dream job because of the experience she gained from the museum studies program," Tapper said.
Tapper plans to continue to support the program by recommending it to others and by visiting as often as she can.
