WIU GIS Club to Host Illinois GIS Association Event on Campus

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University Geography Information System (GIS) club is hosting the Illinois GIS Association (ILGISA) from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, in Currens, room 205.
The event offers students an opportunity to gain experience, network with professionals and learn about careers in GIS. Students are encouraged to attend, especially those interested in showcasing their work.
The event will feature two engaging sessions: a lightning talk, where students present their projects, research, or GIS-related work in 10-minute segments to build presentation skills and share ideas; followed by a professional panel that brings together GIS professionals to discuss career paths, job opportunities, and provide insight into the industry.
