WIU Performing Arts Society Announces 2026–27 Arts Grant Opportunities

MACOMB, IL — The Performing Arts Society (PAS) at Western Illinois University announces that applications are now open for three grant opportunities for the 2026–27 academic year. The WIU Arts Grants, Community Arts Grants and K–12 School Arts Grants are made possible through the generosity of PAS individual memberships, corporate sponsorships and fundraising events.
The WIU Arts Grant supports projects, activities, performances and events that enhance the arts at Western Illinois University. Applicants must be faculty, faculty emeriti or staff within the College of Fine Arts and Communication. All application materials must be complete to be considered.

The Community Arts Grant supports community and audience development while increasing public awareness of the value of the performing arts. Funding may be used for community-based arts programming or travel related to regional or national performance opportunities. Eligible applicants include students, student organizations, professional artists residing in McDonough County and civic or community organizations that promote the arts.

The K–12 Arts Grant supports arts programming and development in K–12 schools and promotes public awareness of the importance of the arts. Funding may be used for school-based performing arts activities or travel to regional or national opportunities for schools serving McDonough County.

All grant applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026. Awards are contingent upon available funding.
