Beverly Ann Lawyer Obituary

MACOMB, IL - - Beverly Ann Lawyer, 76, of Industry, passed away April 23 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
Born December 15, 1949, in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of Ellis and Lucille Weisenburger Wilson. She married John Lawyer on September 5, 1970, who preceded her in death on September 30, 2015.
Lawyer was also preceded in death by her parents; two nephews, Jared and Nick Lawyer; two brothers, Kenny and Gene Wilson; and two brothers-in-law, Joe and Chuck Lawyer.
She is survived by her two daughters, Carol (Billy) Jackson of Macomb and Abbey (James) Roodhouse of Geneseo; six grandchildren, Bailey, Reese and Delaney Jackson and Elizabeth (Treighton Hoang), Rachel and Lillian Roodhouse; one brother, Ray (Gloria) Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Becky Lawyer and Jeni Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of Industry since 1970, Lawyer dedicated many years of service working in the human resources department at Western Illinois University, retiring in 2016. She was a member of the Industry United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She found great joy in sewing special creations for her grandchildren and was a devoted presence at their activities. She also loved to travel and cherished her weekly coffee group with longtime friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb, with Pastor Mike Ulmer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Industry Fire and Rescue Squad.
