withonevoice Professional Vocal Ensemble Fourth Season Performances July 23 & 25

MACOMB, IL - - Based in Chicago, IL, withonevoice is a non-profit professional vocal ensemble of sixteen singers that also hosts a week-long residency program at Western Illinois University in Macomb.
The ensemble is comprised of professional musicians and teachers from multiple states with a vision to provide performances, educational experiences and workshops that promote and model vocal versatility and exploration. Each concert features diverse voice qualities and commissioned works that represent a wide array of composers and styles of music. withonevoice strongly believes in "access to the arts for all" and leads annual educational workshops, using the Estill Voice model, across the U.S. to help everyone find their voice.
The fourth season residency takes place Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23 on the Macomb campus and rehearsals are open to the public.
"We are excited to bring our artists, many of whom are WIU faculty and alumni, back to Macomb for our fourth season. The Macomb and WIU communities continue to give us a warm welcome each year and donate generously to our mission of giving free public performances in rural communities," Brian J. Winnie, director of choral studies at WIU and artistic director and founder of withonevoice said. "We are also in year two of our three-year recording and commissioning project toward our first album release in 2028."
The ensemble will present its summer season concert, "Hold Fast," at 7:30 p.m. on July 23 in the COFAC Recital Hall at WIU and at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 25 at the Baker Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Charles, IL. These performances will feature multiple world premieres by Illinois composers Alex Berko and Ryan Korell and Arizona composer MaryAnne Muglia.
The performances are free with RSVP ticket reservations and a suggested donation.
