Crosby Named New Director of Sponsored Projects

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University is pleased to announce the appointment of Amy Crosby as the new director of the Office of Sponsored Projects, effective Monday, June 15.

Crosby, a WIU alum, has worked at the University since 2015, most recently as the director of Development since 2018. During that time, she has spent the past 15 months as the interim executive director of Advancement and Alumni Relations and interim executive officer for the WIU Foundation.

In this role, Crosby will provide leadership in research administration, grant development and research compliance. She will support faculty and staff in securing external funding, ensuring compliance with federal, state and institutional requirements and strengthening WIU's research enterprise.

"I am excited to step into this role and continue serving Western Illinois University in a new capacity," Crosby said. "I look forward to supporting our faculty and staff and helping to advance the important work taking place across campus."

"Amy's experience and commitment to the University are great assets in this new role," WIU Provost and Academic Vice President Mark Mossman said. "She's already hit the ground running."
