WIU Theatre and Dance Announces Fall 2026 Season

MACOMB, IL — Western Illinois University Theatre and Dance has announced its Fall 2026 season, featuring a lineup of classic theatre, contemporary musical theatre, original dance works and a showcase highlighting the talents of WIU students and faculty.

The Fall 2026 season will take place in the new Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts, with performances in the Clow Theatre and Hainline Theatre, in Brown Hall.

The season opens with William Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night," directed by Bill Kincaid. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 8-10, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11, in the Clow Theatre of the Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts. Additionally, Theatre and Dance Alumni Weekend Celebration will include a dedication of the Clow Theatre.

Next, audiences will experience the Tony Award-winning musical "Dear Evan Hansen," with a book by Steven Levenson and music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Directed by Hadley Kamminga-Peck, performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 29-31, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov. 1, in the Hainline Theatre, in Brown Hall.

The season continues with "Stand/Resist," a devised dance work directed by Donald Laney. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 12-14, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 14-15, in the Clow Theatre of the Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts.

The Fall 2026 season concludes with "Showcase26," directed by Lysa Fox, Donald Laney, Lisa Wipperling and Aaron Ames. Performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Dec. 3-5, and at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 5-6, in the Clow Theatre of the Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts.
