WIU Performing Arts Society Announces 2026-27 Fundraising Events

MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Performing Arts Society (PAS) invites community members to support the arts through its annual fundraising events scheduled for the 2026-27 academic year.

The events include "Arts Smarts Music Trivia" on Friday, Nov. 6, at The Penny in Macomb; the PAS Wine Tasting on Friday, Feb. 12; and the Performing Arts Society Annual Gala on Saturday, Apr. 3, in the University Union Grand Ballroom.

The annual Arts Smarts Music Trivia will bring together alumni, faculty, staff, students and community members for an evening of live band and friendly competition while supporting arts programming and educational opportunities throughout the region. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with trivia beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person or $225 for a table of eight.

The PAS Wine Tasting will offer attendees an opportunity to sample a variety of wines, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and live entertainment and connect with fellow supporters of the arts.

The Performing Arts Society Annual Gala is PAS's largest annual fundraiser, bringing together alumni, community members and supporters of the arts for an evening of celebration and philanthropic support.

"This is an exciting, transformational year for PAS," Director of Development and PAS Executive Director Patrick Downing (‘09) said. "Our mission since the organization's inception in 1984 is to connect people to the arts and with the long-awaited Goldfarb Center for Performing Arts finally completed, we have more opportunities than ever before to support the extraordinary fine arts community throughout WIU and the Macomb region. We look forward to seeing everyone at our fundraising events throughout the year to support these exciting initiatives."
