Tim Waldrop’s Within Reach on Display at WIU Annex Gallery

MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University Professor of Art Tim Waldrop's solo exhibition, Within Reach, will be on display from Tuesday, Oct. 27 through Friday, Nov. 20, in the Annex Gallery, located in the Heating Plant Annex on the WIU campus.

An opening reception will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27. Waldrop will discuss his work at 5 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

Born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Waldrop has lived and worked in the Midwest since 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from William Carey College in Gulfport, Mississippi, in 1998 and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2001.

Waldrop is currently a professor in Western Illinois University's Department of Art and Design, where he teaches Drawing, Life Drawing, Painting and Art Appreciation. He joined the department in 2002 and resides in Macomb with his wife, Laura and their children.

The Annex Gallery is located in the Heating Plant Annex on the WIU campus. Parking will be available near the gallery beginning at 4 p.m. on the day of the reception.
