November 6, 2026
MACOMB, IL - - Western Illinois University's Psychology program within the School of Social Sciences will host WIU alumna Giavanna S. McCall for a Psychology Colloquium at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, in Stipes Hall 121.
McCall will present, "Deficits in Associative Binding Can Affect What We Remember From Sentences in Old Age," a research talk examining how age-related changes in associative memory can influence what older adults remember from sentence-based information.
As a WIU alumna, McCall's presentation provides students, faculty, staff and community members an opportunity to engage with current research in cognitive psychology and aging while reconnecting with a successful graduate of the university.
The event also reflects the Psychology program's commitment to bringing scholarly research and professional development/expertise to both the WIU campus and community.
The colloquium is free and open to the public. Those unable to attend in person may view the presentation via livestream at wiu.zoom.us/j/97973341502.
