International Education Honor Society Initiates
May 11, 2005

MACOMB, IL - - More than 70 students were initiated into Western Illinois UniversityÂ’s Alpha Epsilon chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP), the International Honor Society in Education, during an on-campus ceremony in April.
To be eligible, students must have a 3.6 or higher grade point average. Undergraduates also must have completed 50 semester hours, including at least 12 units in professional education coursework. Graduate students must have at least nine semester hours. Additionally, initiates must show promise as an outstanding educator.
Faculty members in Western IllinoisÂ’ curriculum and instruction department were installed as officers. They include: Diana Goff, president; Laurel Borgia, secretary; Pamela Terry Godt, treasurer and chapter counselor; Therese Kiley, who also was a faculty initiate, historian; Margo Byerly, membership chair; Mike Ellerman, foundation representative; and Fred Isele, associate chapter counselor for WIU-QC. Reading specialist graduate student Anita Lovell (Colchester, IL) was installed as vice president.
