November 3, 2008
MACOMB, IL - - Thinking about the holidays - - shopping, gifts, wrapping…cold, wind, ice, snow? How about a gift for you in sunny California?
A weeklong holiday dream vacation at the Hermosa, CA, beachfront home of Al ('72) and Andrea Boyer is waiting for the highest bidder at the Performing Arts Society (PAS) Gala 2008: Some Enchanted Evening, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8.
For the first time in PAS history, this premier auction item is open to the public for pre-Gala bidding.
The vacation includes seven days and six nights in the 4,500-square foot ocean front estate home that has four bedrooms and four baths and can sleep six to eight people. There is a rooftop Jacuzzi, fireplaces, bicycles for cruising on the Strand, daily housekeeping, use of a 2008 Jeep, and Boyer's limousine and driver for one event and more. The estate home is eight blocks south of Hermosa Pier Avenue and its famous night life. A "typical" Southern California beach town, Hermosa Beach is just south of Los Angeles International Airport.
The vacation package must be used within one year and arranged with the Boyers. The minimum bid is $2,500. Bidders do not have to be present at the Gala to continue bidding. To make a pre-Gala bid and for special arrangements to continue bidding Nov. 8, call (309) 298-2620.
