Hansen: Celebration of Life

MACOMB, IL – Pam Hansen, office support associate for the Western Illinois University Physical Plant Facilities Planning and Construction division, died this morning (June 16) after a brief illness.

Hansen started her career at Western in September 2000 as a Secretary III in the Office of the Vice President for Advancement and Public Services. She transferred to the Physical Plant in December 2004.

The Physical Plant is accepting donations to plant a tree and install a plaque in Hansen's memory in the Physical Plant Memorial Garden. Donations, made payable to the WIU Foundation Campus Beautification Account, should be sent to the WIU Foundation, Sherman Hall 303, 1 University Circle, Macomb IL 61455-1390.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Interment and private services will be held at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, NB. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements (guestbook - www.dodsworthfh.com).

A celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 26 at Gold Hills Golf Course. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Physical Plant Memorial Garden or to the Sarcoma Foundation of America at www.curesarcoma.org.

Hansen is survived by her husband, Howard, and two sons.
