WIU-QC Library Hosts Reception for QCAD Donation

Western Illinois University Libraries will host a reception at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11 to celebrate a generous donation from Quad Citians Affirming Diversity (QCAD). The reception will he held in the WIU-QC library, 3300 River Dr., Moline. Read more.

Living Lands and Water Tree Wrapping Event

LASSO participated in the Living Lands and Water Tree Wrapping Event on March 26th. The Western-Quad Cities group prepared 100 saplings. Over the next 40 years, the 100 saplings LASSO prepped will sequester nearly 5000 tons of carbon dioxide!

WQPT Wins Two Awards

WQPT and Fourth Wall Films co-production of the documentary Letters Home to Hero Street, won two awards at the Cedar Rapids Independent Film Festival.

2015 Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society Convention

WIU-QC students April Stokes, Micheal Belman, Chris Sanders-Ring, and Kasi DeFrieze attended 2015 Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The English majors were able to present some of their work, as well as hear about what other students around the country are researching.
