The crime log incidents posted may not match the crime statistics as reported in the Annual Campus Security and Fire Safety Report per the federal Clery Act, as the crime log is compiled using the Illinois Crimes Code and the crime statistics are required by law to be compiled using the Federal Uniformed Crime Reporting definitions.
According to federal law, an institution may withhold any of the required fields of entry, e.g. the nature, date, time, location and/or disposition, if any of the following conditions apply. Disclosure is prohibited: by law; would jeopardize the confidentiality of the victim; would jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; would cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or would result in the destruction of evidence.
On Nov. 14 at 4:14 p.m., OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Olson Hall. No fire was found.
On Nov. 14 at 8:27 p.m., Ometrice Washington, 21, of Florida, was issued a notice to appear Dec. 10 for a state violation of battery in the Spencer Student Recreation Center. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 8:43 p.m. where he was processed and released.
On Nov. 14, three students were judicially referred for alcohol in Thompson Hall.
On Nov. 15 at 11:29 p.m., OPS and the Macomb Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the Westbrook International House due to a cooking mishap. No fire was found and no injuries were reported.
On Nov. 16 at 6:53 p.m., Torian Cleggette, 34, of 901 Murray St., was arrested in the 900 block of Murray on a McDonough County warrant. He was transported to the McDonough County Jail at 7:37 p.m. where he was lodged.
On Nov. 17 at 4:02 p.m., one student was judicially referred for cannabis in Olson Hall.
On Nov. 17 at 10:34 p.m., one student was judicially referred for cannabis in Thompson Hall.
