WIU Faculty Recognized in CITR's Research and Creative Activities Awards

MACOMB, IL — Three Western Illinois University faculty members were recognized last week at the Faculty Research and Creative Activities Awards event hosted by the WIU Center for Innovation in Teaching and Research (CITR).
According to CITR's Diane Bagley, "Best in Track" awards were presented at the award presentation in the University Union. The individual winner in each track received a $500 stipend to help advance his or her research and creative activities.
Winners, listed below, were chosen through a blind-review process, Bagley noted.
- Best in Track Award for Research Development Activities
Sherry Lindquist, assistant professor, art department
Entry: "Terrors, Aliens and Wonders: Medieval Monsters at the Morgan" - Best in Track Award for Professional Research and Creative Activities
Seungmug (Zech) Lee, assistant professor, School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration
Entry: "Localized Crime Prevention against Residential Crimes: From Offender's Voice" - Top Rated Proposal from New Faculty
Abraham Graber, instructor, philosophy and religious studies
Entry: "Rethinking the Nature of Value in Light of Intellectual Disability: Why Kittay and McMahan Are Closer than They Appear"
