MACOMB, IL - - The Western Illinois University Agricultural Council within the School of Agriculture is hosting a Skin Cancer Presentation at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 in Stipes Hall 121 on the Macomb campus. All WIU students, staff and faculty are invited to attend.

"The School of Agriculture is fortunate to be able to host this presentation on skin cancer," School of Agriculture Director Andrew Baker said. "Many of our students across campus probably had a family member or two that has been affected by skin cancer, so it is vital that they learn more about how to prevent it. Individuals in agriculture and other industries are out in the sun all day, so it is imperative that they know how to properly shield themselves."

Rahwa Hailemichael, a third year medical student from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, will be presenting on the topic of "Skin Cancer." Hailemichael is currently completing her rural medicine rotation at McDonough District Hospital.
