WIU Trustee Named to 2023 Who’s Who in Chicago

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - Western Illinois University Board of Trustees (BOT) member Kirk Dillard of Chicago, IL, was recently named to 2023 Who's Who in Chicago by Crain's Chicago Business.
Dillard serves as a partner of Locke Lord law firm, which has a focus in business and governmental relations, as well as representing manufacturers in product liability prevention and litigation. Currently, he serves as the chairman of the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) in Chicago and oversees the nation's second-largest mass transit system. In addition to his role at RTA, he is the independent chair of Chicago Skyway Toll Road.
Beyond his active career, Dillard contributes to society as the independent chair of the Illinois Supreme Court Historic Preservation Commission. In this role, he assists and advises the Illinois Supreme Court in the acquisition, collection, preservation and cataloging of documents, artifacts and information related to the Illinois judiciary.
Dillard brings a wealth of knowledge, having served in leadership roles, including chairman of the Illinois Judiciary Committee, where he made significant contributions to the legislative landscape. His dedication to public service extends to his past role as chief of staff for former Governor Edgar and legislative director to the late Governor James R. Thompson. Additionally, he served as a Judge on the Illinois Court of Claims.
In recognition of his knowledge and commitment to education, Dillard was appointed by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker to the BOT at WIU. In addition to his role at WIU, he serves as a member of the DePaul University College of Law Dean's Advisory Council.
