BOT Action June 16

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL - - The Western Illinois University Board of Trustees met at the WIU-Quad Cities campus where they welcomed two new members to the Board, Nancy Paridy, of Evanston, IL, and Jose Alba, of Aurora, IL. The Board also recognized outgoing members Student Trustee James Bierman, of Newton, IL, and Kisha Lang, of Maywood, IL.
At the June 16 Board meeting, trustees approved the University's Fiscal Year 2027 preliminary spending plan, approved tenure for 12 faculty members and approved collective bargaining agreements.
The Board also elected officers for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Polly Radosh was elected chair; Carin Stutz was elected vice chair; and Erika Lowe Mullins was elected secretary. Student Trustee Bradley Jenkins, graduate student in College Student Personnel, from Buffalo Grove, IL, was elected by the student body to serve as Western's Board of Trustees student representative from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
