KMC manages the Fellows Program in Community Development at Western Illinois University. She served in the Dominican Republic with the Peace Corps and is an alumna of the Fellows Program at WIU. She holds a Master of Arts in Geography from WIU and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, San Diego.

KMC was named manager of the program on August 1, 2005. She is responsible for oversight of all aspects of the program, including design and supervision of training activities, internship site placement and support, development of program partnerships, and management of grant funds.

 

 

Cortnie Schierman, Programming & Outreach Consultant

Cortnie works with the Fellows Program in Community Development at Western Illinois University. She is a returned Peace Corps volunteer and served in Uganda from 2017-2019. She is a graduate of the Fellows program and received her Master of Science in Health Sciences- public health. Cortnie also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Winona State University. She served her full-time AmeriCorps service as well as her graduate assistantship with the Fellows program as their Programming & Outreach Assistant. 

As Programming & Outreach Consultant, Cortnie focuses on global program administration, student supervision, site support and partner development, as well as strategic planning for the program.

Kiana works with the Fellows Program in Community Development at Western Illinois University. She is a returned Peace Corps volunteer and served in Kosovo from 2019-2020. She is a graduate student in the Fellows program and is working towards her Master of Arts in Community and Economic Development. Kiana also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Intercultural Communication from Salem State University. She served her graduate assistantship with the Macomb Area Chamber of Commerce. Kiana is currently serving her full-time AmeriCorps service with the Peace Corps Fellows program as their Programming & Outreach Assistant. 

As Programming & Outreach Consultant, Kiana focuses on student supervision, site support and partner development.
