Dr. Kenny’s primary teaching areas are in corporate finance and investments having taught Introduction to Finance, Corporate Financial Management I and II, Investment Management, Portfolio Management, and Options and Futures at the undergraduate level. In addition, she has been a member of the graduate faculty for many years teaching in the same areas. Dr. Kenny’s research interests have been associated with investments, credit unions, readability in finance, and finance pedagogy. Her most recent publications include “An Intuitive Approach to Teaching Financial Forecasting” in Advances in Financial Education, “Achieving Superior Performance with the Morningstar’s Tortoise and Hare Portfolios” in Applied Financial Economics, and “Does Mad Money Make the Market Go Mad?” in Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance. Dr. Kenny has been the recipient of multiple teaching and research awards with the most recent being the selection for the Provost’s Excellence in Teaching Award in the fall of 2015. Dr. Kenny enjoys interacting with the students and helping them prepare both academically and personally for professional careers.
