Horticulture Club

The purpose of Hort Club is to preserve nature, and to beautify, educate and promote horticulture.

Meetings for the Fall 2015 semester will be held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 6:00 pm in Knoblauch Hall 305.


Attendance at the Mid-American Association of Collegiate Horticulture (MACHS)

Annual host of FFA Horticulture CDE contest

Participate in We Care, campus beautification

Plant trees for the City of Macomb

Field trips to Botanical Gardens and other major horticulture attractions of interest

Participation in WIU Ag Council activities, including Toys for Tots, Ag Picnic, Ag Awards Banquet


In the past Hort Club has sold braided and bundled garlic and annually sell flower and plant bulbs. Proceeds are used to help fund upcoming field trips.
