MACOMB, IL - - Nearly 500 students earned academic degrees after the 2009 Summer semester at Western Illinois University's Macomb and Quad Cities campuses and through extended studies. Of those, more than 60 graduates were students whose primary attendance site was at the WIU-QC campus.
Bachelor's degrees were awarded to more than 300 students, which include 53 students awarded Western's Board of Trustees-Bachelor of Arts degree (BOT-BA), designed for adult students. Master's degrees were awarded to more than 125 students, 33 of those at WIU-Quad Cities.
Academic distinction was awarded to undergraduate students who achieved high grade point averages. This includes: Summa Cum Laude, 3.90 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale; Magna Cum Laude, 3.75 to 3.89 GPA; and Cum Laude, 3.6 to 3.74 GPA.
Students earning academic degrees are listed by Illinois counties, cities and towns; as well as other states/towns and other nations.

MACOMB/MOLINE, IL – More than 155 undergraduate students enrolled at Western Illinois University were named to the Summer 2009 Dean's List. This includes five students at WIU-Quad Cities.
To receive this award, an undergraduate student in good standing must earn at least a 3.6 grade point average on a scale of 4.0 equals an A in six credit hours of graded courses; pass-fail hours are not counted.
Students earning Dean's List honors are listed by Illinois counties, cities and towns; as well as other states/towns and other nations.
