Professional Activities

  • Professor of Music Christine Lapka wrote a chapter for a book that has just been published by Oxford University Press, called "Exceptional Music Pedagogy for Children with Exceptionalities: International Perspectives."   • Charles O'Brien, professor of history emeritus, recently published "Death at Tammany Hall" (Kensington Books, New York, 2015), the third in his series of historical mystery novels set in America's Gilded Age, the 1890s.

     

  • Western Illinois University Psychology Professor Robert C. Intrieri has been awarded the 2015 Phi Kappa Phi Love of Learning Award from The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

    Intrieri, of Macomb, was one of 80 recipients nationwide to win the $500 prize. He will use the money to travel to the Gerontological Society of America conference in Orlando (FL).
