QUALIFICATIONS: Doctoral degree in Health Services Management, Public Health Administration or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education; experience and expertise in Health Services Management/Public Health Administration; evidence of scholarship or potential for scholarship, and service potential that meets departmental criteria; demonstrated competence in teaching college courses.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching, scholarship and service experience meeting department criteria for Assistant/Associate Professor; experience with accreditation; experience in academic program leadership; experience with a variety of instructional methodologies including but not limited to lecture, seminar, service-learning, accelerated courses, distance learning, online instruction, and hybrid modes.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching assignment includes core and elective courses in the Health Services Management undergraduate program and the Health Services Management/Public Health Administration graduate program; provide program leadership; engage in a level of scholarship and professional service meeting departmental and university criteria for advancement.

THE DEPARTMENT:The Department of Health Sciences at Western Illinois University offers a Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Services Management, Emergency Management, and Health Sciences on the Macomb campus. A Master of Science in Health Education and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program in Health Services Administration are available on both the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses.
