WIU's Graduation List, Fall 2012

More than 1000 students earned academic degrees after the 2012 Fall semester at Western Illinois University. Of these, more than 130 graduates' primary attendance site was the WIU-Quad Cities campus.

Bachelor's degrees were awarded to more than 760 students. 79 of these students were awarded Western's Bachelor of Arts in General Studies (formerly the Board of Trustees-Bachelor of Arts degree), which allows students to earn a regionally accredited undergraduate degree online in a way that fits their educational needs and lifestyles. Master's degrees were awarded to 245 graduates, and 11 individuals earned post-baccalaureate certificates.

Academic distinction was awarded to baccalaureate graduates who achieved high grade point averages. This includes: Summa Cum Laude, 3.90 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale; Magna Cum Laude, 3.75 to 3.89 GPA; and Cum Laude, 3.6 to 3.74 GPA.


WIU's Dean's List, Fall 2012

More than 1,590 undergraduate students enrolled at Western Illinois University were named to the 2012 Fall Dean's List. The number includes 91 students at WIU-Quad Cities.

To receive this award, an undergraduate student must earn at least a 3.6 grade point average on a scale of 4.0 equals an A in a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded courses; pass-fail hours are not counted (i.e. student teaching, internships).

Students earning Dean's List honors are listed by Illinois counties, cities and towns; as well as other states/towns and other nations.
