Typhoon Discussion Panel Planned for Dec. 4 at WIU

MACOMB, IL – A panel discussion on the recent Super Typhoon in the Philippines will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4 in the Western Illinois University Multicultural Center.

The event will feature a discussion on the tragedy, as well as a chance to hear from Filipino residents and to learn more about typhoons and disaster relief. Additionally, information will be presented on how to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, and a tasting of Filipino food will be available.

The event is sponsored by the Center for International Studies, the WIU Department of History, the Japanese Language and Culture Club, the Anime Club and the Asian American Student Association.
