Due to muddy soil conditions, the planting event set for 11 a.m. Friday, May 2 — that was to include members of the Western Illinois University Horticulture Club helping the Macomb City Forester Tim Howe plant prairie grasses on a City-owned lot located at the corner of Wigwam Hollow Road and West Adams Street — is cancelled due to muddy soil conditions. (The soil is too wet to run a skid steer with a trencher in the field without extensively tearing up the ground and earlier seeding from last summer.)

For more information, contact Howe at (309) 833-2821.
