MACOMB, IL – Addison Trail High School senior Angelo Amato, of Addison (IL), has been selected for Western Illinois University's Centennial Honors Scholarship, which covers four years of tuition, fees and a residence hall room at the school.

High school students with an ACT score of 32 or higher and a grade point average of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the scholarship.

Amato is currently undecided about which degree program he will pursue at Western.

"I chose Western because it is a beautiful campus, and a degree from Western says a lot," Amato said.

At Western, Amato plans to play soccer.

In high school, Amato participated in soccer, international dance and in the Clean Up the Park Day.
