MACOMB, IL – The Performing Arts Society (PAS) will host its 16th annual Wine Tasting at Western Illinois University Saturday, Feb. 14.

The event is one of four the PAS hosts each year to raise the funding necessary to bring more than 6,000 children to WIU for live arts performances each year. The live performances are coordinated through the WIU College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC) as part of the Youth Performing Arts Series (YPAS). The money raised also helps pay for scholarships to the Summer Music Institute at WIU and for the support of BCA.

This year's event, in the Heritage Room of the University Union, runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The black tie optional tasting will feature more than 60 wines, a variety of hors d'oeuvres and a wine-themed silent auction.

This year's wine tasting is sponsored by Citizens Bank, a division of Morton Community Bank. Reservations are $40 each and are required by Monday, Feb. 9. A non-alcohol option is available for $20.
